Corner Bifold Doors

Some openings connect a room to the outside; a corner bifold transforms the entire relationship. Two glazed elevations meet at a precise 90°, drawing light deeper into the space and widening the outlook. Specify a moving corner post and it travels with the doors as they fold back, leaving the corner beautifully open.

The Origin Bifold

Three sightlines, one folding wall.

Origin bifolds come in three systems — OB36+, OB49 and OB72 — each made bespoke to your aperture and finished in any of 150+ RAL colours, in the Soho or Contemporary range. The sightline is the real difference: 36mm, 49mm or 72mm of frame around the glass.

OB36+

The slimline system

The slimmest bifold Origin make, at a 36mm sightline. It brings the maximum amount of glass to an opening — ideal where the doors should recede and the view should lead. Every leaf is made to your aperture and finished in-house.

OB49

The all-rounder

Our most specified bifold. A 49mm sightline that suits period and contemporary homes alike, with an 8-point locking system and a 3-star anti-snap cylinder as standard — and corner bifolds can be built on this system.

OB72

The heavy-duty system

The most robust bifold in the range. A 72mm frame built for very large openings and exposed elevations, tested for high wind loads, with the same 8-point locking and Secured by Design accreditation.

Every handle is designed in-house in solid stainless steel or aluminium, and can be colour coded to your frame in matte black, polished chrome or brushed steel. The Signature Knurled Handle is exclusive to Origin and comes in six finishes.

Soho & Contemporary

Bifolds in two ranges: Soho and Contemporary.

The Origin bifold comes in the Soho and Contemporary ranges, and the two can be combined on the same house — Soho for the doors that should make a statement, Contemporary where you want the glazing to vanish. Both are made to your aperture in 150+ RAL colours, with corner bifolds and traffic doors available in either.

The Soho Range

Steel-style bifolds with an industrial edge.

Slim aluminium frames with steel-style square bars, folded right back. The Soho range gives a bifold the look of a steel screen — bold, architectural and usually specified in the deeper greys and blacks. It's the range to choose when the doors themselves are the feature.

Contemporary

The Contemporary Range

The most glass, the least frame.

Where Soho makes a statement, the Contemporary range disappears. Fewer bars, wider panes and the slimmest sightline the system allows, so an entire wall can fold away and leave nothing between the room and the garden. Pair it with a traffic door and a flush threshold for everyday use.

Origin powder-coat every frame in their own facility, in over 150 RAL colours. The shades below are the ones they hold stock in, so bifolds in these colours are manufactured on a two to three day lead time — anything outside that stock range, Pebble Grey included, is coated to order.
